We hope you'll join us in celebration this Saturday! Learn more here.
The last in-store custom order I took was for an extra special handbag. Our client brought in several sentimental pieces given to her by beloved family members. Together she and I came up with this Edith bag design.
Her vintage black and white print paired nicely with green silk from our collection, and a unique vintage brooch from her grandmother brought the design together. I made two antique keys and a lock into a detachable key fob. Inside, I stitched a pretty hankie to the bag lining, for a sweet secret. This was the perfect bag for me to make at this special time. I loved every minute of it! I didn't expect our Saturday Sales to be so much fun! It is a little odd to be selling the fabrics and treasures that I have collected over the last 12+ years. However, the bustling festive atmosphere of each sale, paired with the happiness of finding well-suited homes for the goods, makes these sales happy events! Come talk crafts with us!
This Saturday, we'll have loads of new stuff, including our fancy fabrics - silks, brocades, chiffons, etc. We'll also have some cool vintage books, faux leather remnants, more ribbon, and other bits and baubles. I've also been making new jewelry each week to restock our popular styles. We're still gift-wrapping for free, so stock up on birthday presents! Here is the official Facebook invite page. We've had a blast at the two Saturday Sales we've hosted thus far. It's a big change to clear out my crafty stash by selling fabric, ribbon, and fixtures, but it feels terrific to find happy homes for the things I've collected and enjoyed over the last twelve years.
We have three more sales planned. Join us every Saturday in January from 11 to 5. We have new stock each week. Plus, I'm still making our signature jewelry line, so there is regular merchandise to see as well. |
